But as we all know, there is only one reason why achristianbeliever can't bring himself to admit that slavery is a universally immoral act.
It isn't because he's studied it in history, or has examined the pro's and the con's. And truth be told, if he were not a christian, he'd have no problem raising his hand and saying that slavery was wrong. His reason? He can't find it in the bible, so he can't bring himself to say that slavery is wrong. In point of fact, he finds text where God is telling people to take slaves, which puts achristianbeliever in a real bind. This isn't about a reasoned difference of opinion; it's about achristianbeliever finding himself backed into a corner and forced to defend the indefensible. So grab some popcorn, sit back and watch: his next 50 to 100 posts will just be an exercise in compartmentalized morality trying to tell us that black is white. |

Isn't the Bible (and the Christians for whom it is "unbelievably easy due to the Bible's opinion) ignoring the viewpoint of someone.......the slave, perhaps?
