All Christians agree God is and quite a lot more.
It doesn't matter whether a person uses religion or not, only that they live a life that is fruitfull, happy joyous and free.
I did think for myself - that's why I rejected Christianity.
I agree with your second point, but most Christians would say that that's only possible if your're "in Christ".

If I'm being bothered, I prefer to look at the situation and all parties involved rather than immediately assume I'm the one at fault. I consider that a much more healthy approach to life.

And yes, your statement that it's the unbeliever who's deficient rather than your religion is a form of condemnation. People are asking honest questions in this thread, and you choose to use an evangelical tactic of shifting burden.

I haven't seen any Biblical Criticism here, so we're going to try this in GRD.

That is your groundless assertion.

No, the real message is the one you wish to avoid: severe separation.

If you had really read through the OT, you would already know that in the end, everyone will be practicing Judaism.

Did you seriously mean to write the latter part?

Besides, with all the trouble in the world, there should be even much more call for doctors.

God was using a dodgy dictaphone when he was conversing with the writers of the holy book. Technology eh what ya going to do? :Cheeky:

Why did he choose a group of people who have been largely insignificant in world history as his chosen ones? Perhaps life was so crap for them that they had to start believing they were chosen. I mean ruled over by every power in the middle east and med. ignored by everyone or humoured by them. But then he did say the meek will inherit the earth did he not? Power to the little man yeah!!!

Perhaps god is a stickler for doing things the hard way, or perhaps he's a moron, or more likely he simply doesn't exist.

The Bible also says that Mt. Ararat is the tallest mountain. Now does that mean I have to remeasure Mt. Everest and make sure because the Bible "chooses" Mt. Ararat...?

For heaven's sake, why wouldn't a tribal God choose his own tribe? Why would I ever worship a God that chose another tribe...sheesh!

It was the tallest mountain before the Flood, which we now know completely and quickly altered the Earth's topography.

Ask any Creationist, and he'll tell you how.
