Jesus Predicts his return: help me out
I frequent apologetics.com, although not a serious reader or poster. Once inawhile I'll make a post on something and when it can't easily be answered the Big Guns come in and "explain away" the discrepencies. As I have no formal training and the people replying have written books on these subjects, frankly I don't stand much of a chance of "winning" an arguement, because as you know if you try hard enough you can come up with an explanation for anything (just look at creation-science). While I'm sure if I had a couple hours time I could reply to the following post, I don't really have the proper credentials and the will to pursue it.
http://www.apologetics.com/forums/sh...gonew=1#UNREAD If I get a chance to and some extra time I'll respond to it as I'm sure there are some obvious flaws in the arguement (I confess I have not read the entire arguement as yet) but perhaps someone is out there who is more qualified. P.S. I might add that the original poster is asking other Christians how to answer someone who asks about the repeated statements by Jesus that he would return "within the lifetime of those standing there" |
