Default Where in the Bible does it say that God is all knowing?

Someone asked me this and I can't find any references to God's omniscience

1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

The God of Genesis was probably not all knowing, since he walked through the garden looking for Adam and Eve instead of knowing immediately where they were.

That's wierd - especially if one consider the fact that he predicted the captivity of the Israelites in Egypt...

Many people predict things in the bible. Remember too that God also doesn't know where Satan has been in Job (one of those folks you'd want to keep an eye on):

Job 1
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.
7 And the LORD said unto Satan, "From whence comest thou?" Then Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down upon it."

Come on Toto, surely you aren't that naive regarding Biblical meaning? There is a difference between not knowing where they are, and wanting them to tell Him where they are.

By asking Adam and Eve where they are and what they did, God required Adam and Eve to explain their actions.

Actually, the God of the OT doesn't appear to be omniscient or all powerful. He doesn't know where Adam & Eve are, where Satan came from, and he couldn't drive out chariots of iron.

if God is all-knowing, wouldn't he have known about the forbidden fruit? It was a sting, God is the corrupt cop.

This also brings up God's memory. Can God forget? Well, he forgot about the Israelites in Egypt. Oh wait, they never were in Egypt.

He does know where Adam and Eve are, He does know where Satan came from, and Chariots have absolutely no effect on God.
