Default Greek Week

No, it's not hazing time. I'm trying to recruit people for a study of basic Greek.

Why learn ancient Greek? Because, without it, you are haplessly dependent on the authority of a preferred translator for understanding the text. And nobody wants to take seriously the scholarship of someone who can't "do it in Greek"!

So, come one, come all, to the Greek study forum here:

And, if you're going to follow along, please pick up the Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar and optional Basics of Biblical Greek Workbook.

best wishes,
Peter Kirby

I will be late for class but hope to catch up since my time will be virtually entirely free once the school year ends next week. My books have been ordered and are on the way.

Would you put this class in the undergrad section of the catalogue?

Why yes. It would be Greek 1 at Fresno State.

By the way, I'm currently applying for transfer to Fresno State, largely because they offer Greek and Latin there.

best wishes,
Peter Kirby

My books should be arriving soon.

Will the summer session work with the existing threads and just add on within them in a kind of independent-study-at-your-own-pace?

Yes, there is nothing saying you can't reply to threads that were originated weeks before.

best wishes,
Peter Kirby

PS- just noticed, Theowiki--we are missing "God" right now...doh! Who's up to writing that one?

Can't start Greek until last week in June, PK.
