:: dumps chum in the water ::

Has anybody else seen this?

Noah’s Ark, Pieces Intact, Found
in Iran by Bible Explorers

Some guy named Bob Cornuke is tangled up with it.

I'm calling Grade A USDA Choice bullshit.

This guy has already been debunked by Tentmaker here, the same Christian orginization that helped to expose Ron Wyatt.

Although I'm tempted to send this thread to Freethought Humor, Noah's Ark threads are usually better suited to the E/C forum Please remain seated until the thread comes to a complete stop.

Cornuke is a retired police officer turned con-artist with no scholarly credentials. I didn't know John Kasich was such a gullible tool but I guess I'm not that surprised.

The article doesn't say how he got permission to search in Iran and neither does the BASE website as far as I can tell. Frankly, I'm a little dubious that he even went there. The whole story reads like fiction. He claims he has video but that's easy enough to stage anywhere.

I found this section of the article amusing:
Quote:
They found grapevines over two inches think in the area, of which the DNA from the grapes is the oldest known to man. Genesis 9:20 says that Noah planted a vineyard.
I wonder how they measured the age of the grapevine DNA. I also wonder how the grapes could have survived at all considering they made this claim earlier in the article:
Quote:
It [the site] had been essentially buried beneath the preservation of glaciers until last year when Iran recorded the hottest year on record which melted some of the snowcap revealing 450 by 75-foot footprint of the “object.”
So these grapevines were just growing underneath a glacier for hundreds of years?
