Hmmm. I'd heard there was some question about it, but I wasn't sure of the details.

This was a red herring. Josephus, writing in a specific historical context, tells us about Pilate, so Pilate had to be dealt with accordingly.

I'm just saying that they've found mention of him, which is true, right? That's all the guy said, I'm not saying it means anything.

You perhaps might be interested in the charges of religious forgery that have been flying about regarding the James ossuary (amongst other things from the hands of Oded Golan. At least two items, and there are more on the way, which have been deemed forgeries. You only find publishers with financial interests and xians with religious interests who defend the James ossuary's current claim about Jesus. A few scholars have already stated that they'd seen the artefact without the second half of the inscription, that second half showing various scribal problems.

Just to point out, I wasn't saying whether the evidence is true or not, I was just trying to relay what he said (I don't think he actually said anything about the ossuary, but I couldn't view all of the video; then again, could he be referring to anything else?). I don't really know anything about it; I'm still very much a newbie at this.
