Methodist vs Presbyterian?
What are the doctrinal differences between the Methodist and Presbyterian churches? I know that the Presbyterians are supposed to be Calvinist, and the Methodists not, but strict Calvinism seems not to come thru very clearly in modern Presbyterianism. I can find information on the doctrines of each church, but what are the main items that separate these churches? If someone was looking at doctrine, and not tradition, what would be the basis for choosing one over the other?

This is not complete answer to your question, but you might want to check out this site. It's kind of a funny comparison (funny, in a sick kind of way) of all major religions done by a Baptist Minister. It's a "What's the best way to save a Methodist, Presbyterian, etc?" kind of cheat-sheet he put together for his "flock":

Yes it is funny in a distrubing / simplistic way ... See we (I am) right and these cookie cutter methods will work unless they are just so sinful and controlled by Satan that they will not accept the "Truth" Quote:
