Default Did the Exodus really happen?

From the Huffington Post: Roger Isaacs: Passover In Egypt: Did the Exodus Really Happen?

Isaacs finds four very weak pieces of evidence in this promo piece for his book, Talking With God: The Radioactive Ark of the Testimony. Communication Through It. Protection From It. (or via: amazon.co.uk).
Quote:
In Isaacs' view, the words traditionally translated holy, sanctify, glory, sin, atone, plague, soul, testimony, cherubim, etc., have completely different meanings. When they are all assembled, the result is a startling picture that is directly related to the laws of radiation physics and chemistry as we understand them today.

Also, if you translate those words in other ways, the Bible gives you a nice recipe for shepard's pie.

It also contains the following. "The persons, places and events mentioned herein are fictional, and have no connection with real events, or real persons, living or dead."

Also from the website:

"How could plagues described in an Egyptian papyrus be so similar to those found in the Bible? In the early 1800s, a papyrus was found in Egypt called The Admonitions of an Egyptian. It is now in the Leiden Museum in Holland. An Egyptian named Ipuwer wrote it at the end of the Middle Kingdom, around 1650 B.C.E.; scribes copied it in the 19th Dynasty, in the 1200s B.C.E. Below are some of the amazingly similar plagues described in both the Ipuwer papyrus and the Bible. (The biblical plagues befell the Egyptians at the time of Moses and the Exodus, which has been dated sometime between 1570 to 1290 B.C.E.)"

Isn't it plausible or probable that the Ipuwer papyrus is fiction, and some Hebrews writers used it as a source?

If the Ten Plagues occurred, news of such spectacular, sometimes nationwide events would have quickly spread all over the Middle East and beyond, and would have endured by word of mouth for many centuries. Wouldn't at least some records other than the Bible and the Ipuwer Papyrus have probably survived?

The Torah is rife with plagiarism. And has less credibility than The National Enquirer.

search the archives for Ipuwer - that papyrus has been discussed. It does not support the case for historicity.
