Wink Did Adam And Eve Have A Belly Button ?

Since Adam and Eve were created by god and not born from the womb of a woman , there was no need of an umbilical cord which is the only reason human beings have a belly button .

So did Adam and Eve have a belly button ?

There is no question too silly for Christian apologists.

ChristianAnswers.net says NO!
Quote:
I believe we can say, "No - Adam didn't. Neither did Eve."

Why? Because your belly-button (navel), or tummy-button as it's sometimes called, is a sign that you were once attached to your mother. You depended on that life-line - the umbilical cord - for your nourishment from her body as you developed inside her.

But our first parents, Adam and Eve, didn't develop that way. I believe that God would not have planted on them a false indication that they had developed in a mother's womb.
and there are these resources:

Did Adam and Eve Have Belly Buttons?: And 199 Other Questions from Catholic Teenagers

Bellybutton Webpage

Quote:
It is thought that because both Adam and Eve were 'created' by God, they therefore had no need for an umbilical cord. Meanwhile, famous painters such as Michelangelo and Raphael have painted Adam with a belly button. The controversal debate has even seeped into the halls of the American Congress! In 1944, a subcommittee of the House Military committee refused to authorize the use of a 30 page book for American soldiers.

The book, called "The Races of Man" had an illustration of Adam and Eve with belly buttons. The committee ruled that this would be misleading to American soldiers.

Why would god give Adam sexual organs if Eve was an afterthought?

er...and why would God insist on keeping Adam and Eve barefoot and naked and became livid after they put on clothes? And does this story mean that salvation can be found at a nudy beach? Dirty minds want to know.

Yeah...And why would god walk around in the garden all the time when Adam and Eve were there all naked?
Why didn't god tell them they were naked?
Did god like watching??...Was god himself dressed or was he naked too??...
What the heck was going on there??? What kind of a place was "The Garden of Eden"??

Oh,no...Wait a second...Wasn't that a weird "coincidence" that THE day Eve
"ate the apple"...god had gone to town "to do some errands"?...hmmm... Really???
What errands???
Was Eve really "alone" that day an alledged "snake" gave her something to eat??
Was god really doing errands??
Where did these two spend the afternoon??? Doing what??
And why was she in such a hurry to show Adam what she had just learned about eating the apple??? What was she so exited about??
Oh,noooo...Do you see what happened there???
And then god seemed to be pissed with Adam...and with Eve too...
I guess god thought he was going to be the only one, jealous as he was!!
And kicked them both out of there...
So this is what went on in "The Garden of Eden"...I just knew it...It was god all along!!!
Sneaky,isn't it?
Snakey indeed...

I say yes, and God just gave them a use as an afterthought.
At first he's all thinking it would look cool, that maybe people could stick shiny things in them or something. Then he's all like "But what should it DO, man!?" and then he make it the whole life-line thing and he's all like "Oh yeah, who da man?"
