Joe Zias: A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:The $ons of Darkness and The Wicked Priest$; all hustling Jesus plates, Jesus scrolls and the fast buck
Quote:
Now, in one of their latest press releases the British teamof ‘wannabe archaeologists’ write that ‘Initialmetal tests indicate that the codices made of lead (I hope that they got it correct this time) could datefrom the first century based on the form of corrosion which has taken place.’ As a former curator withthe IAA for 25 years the alleged corrosion in the photos both lead and copper does not look like anyancient piece in the state collections, in fact, it appears to be modern. What forgers will do is to takeancient metals, and recast them, create a faked patina, thus when a metal analysis is done, the resultswill indicate that the lead may be ancient, nothing more. Furthermore the Israeli lawyer they reportedas heading the legal team presumably in order to make sure that the lead codices do not fall into thewrong hands, does not appear in the list of lawyers in the Israeli Bar Association. Seems he may notexist, at least as a lawyer; or like the metal analysis they again got it wrong.Prior to the Qumran excavation,Robert Feather who first brought these Jesus codices’ tomediaattention refers to himself as a metallurgist turned journalist and the author of The Copper Scroll Decoded (HarperCollins 2000) in which he claimed to have located the actual treasures mentioned in theCopper Scroll as well as believing that the 200-300 yr old Bedouin skeletons buried east-west, facingMecca, are actually thousands of years earlier and are gazing at the pyramids of Egypt. No seriousscholar accepted his views. However in today’s world of Biblical Studies where anythinggoes; he founda publisher and an agent....

Default Jordan police recover 7 ancient Christian writings from trove of manuscripts

Jordan police recover 7 ancient Christian writings from trove of manuscripts stolen years ago
By The Associated Press

Quote:
AMMAN, Jordan — Jordan's archaeology chief says security police have recovered seven ancient manuscripts from local smugglers.

The writings are part of 70 manuscripts that Jordanian archaeologists discovered five years ago in a cave in the north.

Later, they were stolen and most were believed to have been smuggled into Israel. Jordan has demanded Israel return the manuscripts but has gotten no response.

Ziad al-Saad says the manuscripts were reportedly found by a Bedouin. He says the relics could be among the earliest Christian writings in existence but tests are under way to date them and check their authenticity.

Al-Saad said on Tuesday that if verified, the relics could be the most significant find in Christian archaeology since the 1947 discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

There are too many details that fit the lead codices
- there are 70
- found by a Bedouin.
- among the earliest Christian writings in existence but tests are under way to date them and check their authenticity.
- verified, the relics could be the most significant find in Christian archaeology since the 1947 discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

And these 70 lead codices were lost or misplaced or stolen.

Everything is found by a Bedouin.

They live there.

'They should be finding relics from Allah or Mohammed, but they have to find other artifacts.

But there's more money in finding christian artefacts

.... from Elsa Gibson's catalogue of inscriptions:

Quote:
Inscription #42

Described as "nine fragments of a white marble grave altar; some of these fragments join, so that five pieces can be said to be extant. At Uckuyu, "Three Wells", in a place called Bahceler Mevkii, "Region of Gardens", about 500 meters south of the village, on the road to Bekilli; in a wall of a garden belonging to Hasan Gurden, opposite the well called Galaklar Kuyusu. Said to have been found at this spot before the second World War and to have been broken into pieces by the owner of the garden. It is dated to 242/3. There are eight plates of photographs of the fragments of this altar.
The owner didn't get his asking price.
