Default Codex Alexandrinus

A facsimile of Codex Alexandrinus has been put up online. This should be useful to some interested parties here.

My blog entry on it.

It's very good news. I've been pressing the British Library to allow photography of their manuscripts, through my Member of Parliament, for 2 years, but without result.

All the best,

Hey, that's great stuff. Thanks.

We ought to go through a small portion of it. You up to leading something like that?

Hard efforts will eventually pay off, Roger. Have you also tried contacting Oxford professors and whoelse to help pressure the member of Parliament? The BL has many manuscripts online already, certainly they could be pressured in putting more. And what of funding?

Would going through mean a look at the manuscript in terms of scribal methods? Or would it be to read it, in which case it is far easier to read in minuscule and not straight from the uncial. Swanson has the text of A (02) in the volumes he has done.

I would only assume both.
