Noah's ark & Evolution, a question for Christians
Well the question is for everyone of course but I am most interested in the Christian perspective.
I've never quite understood the christian perspective on the great flood, noah's ark and the rescuing of the various species so let me pose a series of questions on this 1- Did the great flood destroy ALL life on earth other that that rescued by Noah? 2- Does Christianity view all life as exists today as directly descendent from the species in the ark? 3-Does Christianity see all life forms as static or does it allow for some sort of change... evolution so to speak... since that time? In other words do all species existing today exist in their present form because they were chosen and brought on the ark, in the same form? 4-It seems the biblical time frame can be broken into pre-flood and post-flood. If the answer to 1 is yes then not only is all life today directly descendent of that in the ark... all life on the ark was representative of all pre flood life... help understand how Noah fit all these species in an ark that is 450' long and 75' wide (Genesis 6:15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits) |

May we refer you to this thread: Noah's Ark - which recently found a new home in the evolution-creation forum?

The CUBIT......how big?
As was so briefly indicated,
The text of Genesis 6:15 ought then to be found acceptable as an appropriate topic in this forum? Only a small PS, and being such a "small thing", can any such a "small thing" be here accommodated? You that are the judges, judge and decide, for as you measure, so shall you be measured. -Zerubabble- |
