what about the land vegetation?

i spoke to a creationist who claimed that all the trees, grass, shrubs, etc. were perfectly capable of surviving being submerged for over a month.

Here's a better question: If God is so friggin powerful, why didn't he just kill all the animals himself? Why not just make them disappear? Why would he go through the trouble of creating such a dramatic flood when he could easily take a shortcut?

lol. Take some grass, put it in salt water for a month, and see what happens.. Or, tell the creationists to come to Louisiana and see how coastal erosion is flooding our bayous and destroying the marshland.

Good point though, why did their god have to have a flood to do the killing? Seems like a smarter god would just make all the bad people disappear.

It is just so funny, and I'll never understand how they belileve it, but I just can't understand how these people would put so much "faith" in these myths of fantastic miracles that have absolutely zero evidence, no support, and make no sense.

Default Evidence Doesn't Matter

Not only that, but if you had provided evidence that plants couldn't survive underwater, it wouldn't matter. It would just mean your evidence was wrong.

Answers in Genesis says:
However, when the interpretation of scientific data contradicts the true history of the world as revealed in the Bible, then it’s the interpretation of the data that is at fault.
See, the bible is right no matter what the evidence shows.
