Default If Jesus was born of a virgin...

I'm sure some've you have heard this chestnut before, but for those who haven't:

If Jesus was born of a virgin, then he and his mother must have been genetically identical - they must have been clones. In particular, since physical gender is genetically determined, Jesus must have been female.

Nothing like a touch of the old blasph at Christmas...

I've heard this. Indeed, it has posed a problem for anyone who wants to apply science to the "virgin" birth scenario as presented in the bible. One can find all manner of fantastic claims concerning the biology of this event. Unfortunatly they all involve some degree of hand waving and/or appeals to a miraculous event.

Please enjoy the following article on the topic at hand:

Nope. A heavy petting session can get semen on someone's fingers, and from there into a virgin's vagina. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

maybe Jesus was a cross dressing female with a facial hair problem, caused by polycystic ovary syndrome(thus no menstration either)?, she might have claimed to have been a eunuch that got their penis whacked as well?

By Jove, that's brilliant! Suddenly Christianity makes sense! Jesus was a transsexual!

Indeed, he was a 'chip of the old block' wherefore the woman was taken from the man to give birth to that same identity later in life for a second go around. I even think that there is some poetry on this.

IF you liked that one, you'll like that this one. Jesus was a female pseudohermaphrodite, because of excess androgen production by Mary during development. She would appear to have male genitalia(hypertrophy of the clitoris), but it would be non-functioning. It's possible such a "penis" would appear to be already circumcised by god.

There was an article a while ago about two doctors... The female blew the male, kept the semen in her mouth, and then later impregnated herself with it. She sued him for child support some 8(?) years later. The male doctor then countersued for theft and emotional damages.

Moral of the stories - some children (including Jesus) aren't even worth a fuck.

If you are interested the reproduction is called parthenogenesis. A more fundamental question would be:why do males exists? Also, why do males have nipples? Go figure!
