Here is a review of Vanhoozer's book on Findarticles.
As you can see, Vanhoozer is one of those Reformed Theology yammerheads, who <guffaw> believes in "properly basic" beliefs.

For an introduction to NT Criticism I think that Bart Ehrman's books are quite accessible and provide a solid presentation. Ehrman's one of the better writers out ther when it comes to communicating the information in a readable and easily comprehensible manner.
I would also recommend that steering your friend to Peter Kirby's ECW site. He can get a lot of info just from that. |
