Was the author of GMatthew familiar with the Hosea?
Hi.
Since I’m logged on I figure will ask this. It’s a genuine question: I honestly don’t know. I’m looking for a passage from Matthew that demonstrates that the author was familiar with Hosea. Can anyone help me out? |

In Mark (and Hosea) the fig tree serves as an intro and an outtro. It symbolizes what will happen to Israel. Mark treated it as a prophecy - but Matthew didn't get it. He collapsed the two fig tree events into a single event and treated it as a miracle. So that got me thinkin – maybe Matthew never read Hosea. |
