The Body
Check out this video if you get a chance. It stars Antonio Banderos..and can be found in your local video store. Its called simply The Body.
The Plot: An athiestic archaelogist finds a first century tomb of young man, crucified. Could this be the very tomb of Jesus Christ? The Vatican instantly sends a young priest, Banderos to check it out. With a simple directive..even if it is true, come back and publically deny. In this wonderful film of ideas, the ultimate nightmare for some, the answer for others is played out. What would happen if tomorrow, without a doubt..the body of Jesus were found? Sounds like an interesting movie. I'm surprised I haven't heard of it.
Fortunately for Christians, this is a scenario that is unlikely to ever be played out. They could always claim that any discovered remains were not really Jesus, and this would make sense. After all, we don't even know what the dude looked like. I don't know too much about DNA testing, but I assume we couldn't even do that, since Jesus has no known living relatives with whom we could compare DNA samples. |
