This morning, I posted commentary in several threads. Those posts are missing. I presume this happened to others as well, so I will see if I can find out what happened.

UPDATE
Apparently, ALL forums were affected sometime this morning (8 o to 11:00) and no one, including our administrators, knows for sure what happened. All I can suggest is that if you posted something important and it is missing, post it again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The theory is that the people who administer the physical server (a commercial service) did a full server restore, losing everything posted since the previous backup.

Second UPDATE

Apparently, not everyone is aware of the technical problems of June 7, when numerous posts were accidentally deleted that morning between 8:00 and 11:00.

I have been asked via email if I have intentionally deleted posts during the past several days. With the exception of an inappropriate "New Topic," I have not.
