Looking for a secular translation of the bible.
I remember reading about one before, but I can't seem to find it via a search engine.
Can anyone help me out? I believe one of things changed in the translation was "God's Kingdom" was translated instead as "God's Fortress" or some such, if that helps any... |

Do you mean the Jesus Seminar's version? -I think it's called "The Five Gospels" if I remember correctly.
From what I've seen and read about it, it's a horrendously bad translation which I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. It's your money though, and your welcome to waste it as you see fit. |

I can't remember the name of it, but I'm pretty sure it didn't have anything to do with the Jesus Seminar or Oxford University.

I'm writing my own translation of the bible from recently discovered ancient manuscripts unearthed behind my toilet tank. Did you know that every single chapter originally ended with the verses "This is all bullshit", "Haha, got you again, this is bullshit too," or "In summary: worship jre, because the rest is all bullshit"?
