Well, maybe it because is takes alot of guts to accept the finality of death. And most choose to take the easy way out and believe in an afterlife.

Therefore I guess that makes atheists "the few , the proud," THE ATHEISTS. Right?

Back when Christians held by far the minority worldview it was less correct than it is today by this line of reasoning.
