Noah revisited
A lot of the atheists on this board, and elsewhere, attempt to criticize the inerrancy of the bible by pointing to the tribulations of Noah. They make comments like: All the animals could not have fit on board; There wasn’t enough time to load all the animals; How did the kangaroos get on board.
The problem with this reasoning is that they take the story of Noah and ASSume that Noah was the only person to build an Ark at our lord’s bidding. You have to realize that in those days communication is not what it is today. Communities only a few hundred miles apart did not know what was going on in other communities. What actually happened is that many good men were instructed by our lord to build Arks. All over the world. Each Ark took the families of the good men and all the local animals, insects and plant life. The story of Noah is merely the story of ONE good man whom our lord selected. |

Good work, Smugg! I doubt we'll get an admission of error here, though. Instead, we'll learn that only in Hebrew means many in apologese.

...and they that [were] with him in the ark.
Properly is: and they that [were] with HIM (with Our Lord)in the arks. |

Actually, Robinson Williams has traveled the world in search of Ark remains. In his new book “In search of the Arks” he identifies definite remains of twenty-seven Arks around the world. At the time of the writing fourteen of these have been carbon dated (an expensive task). All hit out exactly as to the time of the Great Flood.
