Who is the founder?
Who is the founder of the Christian faith: Jesus, Paul or the Emperor Constantine?

While we're at it, how do you define "founder"?

My guess would be Paul, Jesus was a Jew, Constantine an Opportunist, or maybe St. Augustine.

Do you want to ask who founded the Christian church? That was clearly not the Jesus of the Gospels - he was a Jew who expected the end of the world, and meant his message for his fellow Jews.
On the other hand, there were Christians before Paul, if you can believe his story about persecuting them. Constantine undoubtedly made the church what it is today, if that is something anyone wants to take credit for. So the answer would have to be "none of the above". I think that the Catholic's answer to who founded the faith is "Jesus, and to the question of who founded the church is "St. Peter". But I think that Devnet is right - evolution is a better answer than special creation. |

Paul perpetuated Jesus' being all out of proportion to what Jesus himself attested to. For one thing Paul never met Jesus while Jesus was alive; His encounter was several years after the 'resurrection'. Jesus had no thoughts of doing away with the 'law', but instead he was sent to fulfill and follow the 'law' Jesus was a jew, and never attested to anything other than that. Thank you Paul..
