Quotable Quotes
I recently said that I admire the complete abandonment of political correctness and tolerance. Well, I really admire some of you guys:
You all need a slap in the face followed by a swift kick in the ass. I feel like goin to church, walking to the front and fliping off every one of them. The asshole Christians you meet will tell you that Layman, Metracrock, Nomad etc., are not true Christians because they are not damning everyone to Hell. Christians are brainwashed ignoramuses It is the same with Christians: There are quite a lot more "stupid" (ignorant would be a better term) arrogant Christians than stupid, arrogant religiousless or even non-Christians. Christianity is a haven for stupid actions and arrogant thinking. Thats why the sterotypical ignorant, self-righteous Christian view of Christians is so popular: because its based on solid, observable, obvious facts. Christianity is a false and ridiculous worldview, therefore; wanting to share that which is false and ridiculous is hardly something to be respected or, from an intellectual standpoint, even tollerated. And, to sum up: Fuck them. |

Well, I guess being a Free Thinker ALL the time does take its toll.

Well, at least one of them, somewhere, can. It often appears that the primary skill requirement to be a "Free Thinker" is the ability to cut and paste uncritically.
But that is just my experience. [This message has been edited by RugbyJJ (edited April 20, 2001).] |

Layman, your post and others posts of Christian quotes confirm my suspicion that there are idiots of all beliefs. Don't let the attitude of some here spoil your view of us atheists as generally happy and well-mannered.

This whole thread is ridiculous. Anybody could take heated quotes from anyone and post them like this. What good can be accomplished by revisiting old insults?

Old? These were all posted either yesterday or today! The insulters continue to reiterate the views in the same thread. These were not insults exchanged in heated debates, but general expressions of hatred, with a somewhat violent flourish, towards a broad group of people based on their religious beliefs. And it was funny to see them strung together. |

He has this "martyr gene" that kicks in every so often. If he doesn't feel oppressed currently, then he goes out and stirs up trouble until he *does*. I guess it makes him feel that he is suffering "for the faith". |
