Id rather trust the serpent
Think about it. Who was the one who lied in Eden? It was God. He told Adam and Eve that if they eat from the Tree of Knowledge they will surely die.
Adam lived about 930 years.....thats not bad for a human eh? And he did became as God knowing good and evil. As the serpent said. But he didnt had a chance to eat from the Tree of Life to be eternal like him . [ August 13, 2001: Message edited by: Asimis ] |

Well a favorite excuse is that Adam physically die after 930 yrs but actually died spiritually after god removed his godly spirit from Adam once god knows he had eaten the fruit.
G 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Anyway another arguement I can see is that god says "in the day thou eatest thou shalt die". Maybe god's idea of "day" is actually different from what we know of it. |
