Interestingly enough, I somewhat suspected, though we've had many members make up similar quizzes on their own, I guess my efforts amount to nothing more than mental masturbation now, oh well, no matter. I'm glad at least that you share my same my concern regarding intolerance towards those with faith (though some may portray the intolerance as warranted). Noting that it was not your material, I retract my objections, and pardon if I was harsh in any way, I guess my concerns should be presented to those that created the quiz. Thanks for clearing that up.

Samhain: the quiz may not be fair, but it does demonstrate the fact that justifications can be found in the Bible for cruel and abhorrent behaviour.
The fact that justifications can also be found for generosity, kindness, forgiveness and behaviour we regard as civilised and admirable is evidence of the Bible’s ambiguity.

Fact is, you can do what you like - and find a passage in the Bible to provide divine justification for it.
Dangerous? I think we are entitled to say so.

That can be just about everything you read. Trust me, I'm no Bible advocate, but I know for a fact that there are plenty of things like this in the Bible that could be used while still remaining intellectually honest and sound, they aren't hard to find, but when something such as this comes up, and the anti-christian message is so blatantly obvious it seems to lose it's educational value. "Don't preach to the choir" if you will, unless it's meant to be nothing more than complete satire (which it doesn't seem to be), then I think it should be undertaken in a way that appeals to reason for both atheist and theist alike, it makes it much harder for a theist to dispute and cast away as nothing more than anti-christian or anti-god propaghanda if it is conducted in a manner that is intellectually honest.

FYI, Christian Reconstructionists (who are now disproportionately represented in all three branches of the U.S. government, including such powerful folks as Attorney General Ashcroft, Bush chief speech writer Michael ("Axis of Evil" and "Crusade") Gerson, and GOP House whip Tom DeLay, as well as most of the administration's recent nominees for high-ranking federal judgeships.

Reconstructionists advocate what they call "theonomy" which, believe it or not, calls for the suspension of civil rights and the implementation of Old Testament law, including stoning, whippings and hangings. Slavery is ok, too. Their stated public goal is to establish a theocracy in the U.S. Literally. Just do a search on any of the terms or people I mention here and find out for yourself.

So the OP is more than a fun but incidental poke at the absurdities of religion; it is a scary look at what some of our country's most powerful people plan for the rest of us.
