Well because its dangerous to do so.

Huh? I think you mean it's dangerous to not fear the unknown.

I think it's a waste of time to fear the unknown.

Its your opinion that religion has no influence in creating the constitution of the United States?

How is not fearing the unknown more dangerous than putting the unknown (and even the known or possibly known) into some admittedly imaginary friend's hands?

You’d probably base them off the ones you already know of. (Formally religious-based ones)

The U.S.S.R. was never full of atheist, they were just not allowed to practice their beliefs. The U.S.S.R. began with people of religion.
Your suggestion that atheists are incapable of developing a moral system independent of religious morals simply because religious morals came first ignores the fact that these same religious morals were based on even older pagan morals which were themselves based on even older moral codes. I could easily ask you:

Animism digs deep into your logic. How would your morals work in a non-animist society? You’d probably base them off the ones you already know of. (Formally animist-based ones)

I have to ask you Zentraedi, do you fear the Sephakim of Quoba?

I think it did have influence, in that the framers were careful to exclude religious dogma/doctrine from the Constitution (religion is only mentioned in the First Amendment (granting freedom of religion and prohibiting establishemnt of a state religion) and in one other amendment (which number?) prohibiting religious tests for office.

Man, that guy is SO scary. I do.

BTW Zentraedi, you still haven't answered the basic question:

Where did God get his morals?

So, walk across a street, do you look to see whats coming first?
I think it might be a good idea to look.

That cars may be driving on the street does not qualify as "unknown." I've crossed streets before, and I know it's best to look both ways before crossing.

"the unknown" is something that cannot be known.

But, that is not "the unknown" because all you have to do is look and you know. I fear a car coming at 80mph, I do NOT fear not knowing whether a car is coming.

The constitution shows it roots in religion partial to christianity. All are equal is a religious idea. We are not all equal.
