Post THE GODDESS

The Ten Commandments of Science the Goddess

1. I am your Mistress Goddess who rescued you from the land of scarcity where you were poor and undeveloped.

2. Worship no Goddess but me, for I am a jealous Goddess !
Do not bow before the false goddesses: Philosophy, Sociology, Ecology and Arts. They are demons to be despised.
I bring punishment on those who disobey me and on their descendants and clones to the third and fourth generations.

3. Do not use my name in vain for I will punish every quasi- or Para scientist.

4. Observe the Saint Weekend, and keep it holy, as I the Goddess, have commanded you. You have five working days in which to toil, but the Weekend is the time of rest dedicated to me. In this period no one is to work, neither you, nor your assistant, nor your technician, nor your student, nor other slaves.

5. Respect the Deduction and the Induction, as I the Goddess command you, so that you may execute your researches and experiments well !

6. Do not design or construct or use murderous machines or contraptions.

7. Do not copulate with your colleague’s ideas or theories !

8. Do not steal patented knowledge (know-how) !

9. Do not accuse your colleagues falsely, when you are jealous of their success.

10. Do not desire another man’s academic career, his inventions, his theory, his publications, his laboratory or anything else that he owns.

Good advice, although I prefer a less predetermined time schedule. If you ever feel the urge to work on the weekend try the following advice:

Kad pozelis radit, sidi, pricekaj, vidit ces da ce te proc.

(translation: when you feel like working, sit down and wait, you'll see that it will pass.)

Gotta love those <a href="http://www.romwell.com/travel/advisory/europe/croatia/dalma10.htm" target="_blank">Dalmatian Commandments</a>.

Dalmatian in my ancestry, so I know all about resting.

Yeah, we could apply those commandments to Montenegrins.
