Question plz help!

Hi all,

I'm writing an essay on the functions of government atm and I came up with this analogy of the human body.

For the parliament/senate I need to find a part of the human body that represents the interpretation of thought into action. As it's not really my disipline I'm stumped and dont know the first place to look. Any suggestions or ideas?

thanks in advance

-Ashley

How about <a href="http://www.anatomy.wisc.edu/cere/text/cere/contents.htm" target="_blank">the cerebellum</a>, responsible for fine-motor control ?

Hobbes did all this years ago. Anyway, Congress is more like the cloaca than the cerebellum

Ah yes, the cerebellum, that's what I was looking for..

Hobbes has done this already? Do you remember was work it was in? It would be nice to see for comparitve purposes.

I came up with the idea after I got tired of a bunch of writers referencing Walter Bagehot and his obsolete idea of cabinet as a belt buckle

Hobbes' Leviathan is the work in question. Here's an online, searchable copy:
