Question Gutherman's ear

Does anybody know any critique of the Gutherman ear-story (e.g. here or here)?

I've wound up in a discussion with some christians about miracles, and this one is annoying me a tad...

Thanks.

I've only skimmed the article, but I don't really understand the fuss. Medicos are forever making mistakes, not the easiest of occupations IMO & like any industry, there are always some workers who really should find another trade as well.

But every day there are dozens of medical errors, most working against the patient, but often diagnoses which underestimate the patient's chances of recovery. I don't see every one of those as being interpreted as Divine Intervention, just as the misdiagnoses working the other way are not seen as Satanic Intervention either.

One religious comeback might even be that medical errors are more a sign of Man's fallibility arising from the Fall, since to assume a saintly miracle would be to assign medical perfection on the doctors involved. (!!)
