Post Pre-Adamite Peoples

It's funny how the bible can be twisted by racists and other bastards. (I will be a bastard all by myself)

In genesis when Cain goes to the land of Nod and takes a wife, she has been interpreted by some to be one of the pre-adamite peoples. Many "Christian-Identity" racists say that pre-adamite people are beasts and often call them mud people.
I heard about this from Tony Brown's Journal.

Why don't they look at the two contradictory creation tales or any of the other various crazy stories in the bible.

But I am curious about what importance or meaning Cain's wife had to the Hebrews who wrote Genesis. Was it an oversight? Was she a Gentile -therefore a separate creation? If so, would this relate to the "Chosen People"?

Maybe it is not possible to know the meaning. Does anyone out know the answer?

Nope! - well, not me anyway.

Many, many years ago I did go to Sunday school.
We just sang songs and stuff.

"Jesus loves me, this I know
For the buy bull tells me so..."

Sorry I can't seriously help you.

As usual Christians have different ideas about the "pre Adamite People" Most claim there were no people at all before Adam, and Cain married one of his sisters. They say Adam & Eve had many more children besides Cain Abel and Seth. At bleesme.org the Catholics, when asked, "where did Cains wife come from" simply reply "the Bible does not say"
I'm not sure Cains wife has much significance at all to Jews, other than genealogy. The Jews were not 'chosen' till Abraham's time and are descended from Noah's son Shem anyway. (Remember the flood supposedly killed every one else, so Cain, his wife & pals are irrelevant.

If you start out with the unquestionable belief that the Bible is true, then any apparent contradiction must have an explanation. They usually pick one which suits their preconcieved ideas. More importantly, they don't care where Cain's wife came from, it has no value in promoting their 'kingdom.'

There are as you pointed out several different stories of A&E and the expulsion from Eden. And the subsequent generations after.
There is a site, the home page of Alan Humm that contains volumes of works from ancient authors
and differing views on the creation story.

You might find this interesting.

This might not help you out much, but I know several people who believe that Cain married Lilith, the woman originally intended for Adam (she wouldn't do it in the missionary position so Adam "put her aside"). Supposedly Cain and Lilith got together and populated the world with vampires .

As another indication of old Xian tradition, in the Christianized version of Beowulf that we know today, the monster Grendel is said to be a descendent of Cain, implying that the rest of us aren't.

Of course all of Cain's descendents would have either died in the flood, or else have intermarried with those of Noah. So pretty much if anyone alive was descended from Cain, we all would be.
