Arrow God said "No"...

...and then kills Ladan Bijani , a true believer.

Quote:
"If God wants us to live the rest of our lives as two separate, independent individuals, we will," Ladan said before the operation.
What I am I am, and say not.
Being is the great explainer.

GOD said my will :

it is sad my friend, I followed this story on news last days , I felt sad when I heard the news.. , but should we blame God (our beloved Lord) for that .
is life everything we long to ??, life is only one temporary period in our Eternal existence outside of time?

I point out that the converse is also true, Rima...to offer prayers and give credit to God are equally meaningless.

And, now that we understand the that joys, horrors and ambiguities in life merely are...the word and concept of "God" is proven superfluous.

May you have a great morning.

I too am saddened to hear this news. I was pulling for these girls..

I think people who give thanks to God should also give blame to God. If he's the one in control, then things are pretty much his fault, right?

Hi Rima,

isn't it a bit presumptuous to say "our lord" about your god? Me, for instance, I have no lord. I don't even know which of the thousands of deities in this world you refer to.

And, sadly, Laleh Bijani also died. I feel sorry for it. I really wished them well.

Hello Enai:
I did not mean to offend you :

eveyone has some kind of God , something we love the most and we are willing to do anything to please him (it),even atheists?

some love Money so much , they are willing to do everything for money (they are in my opinion money worshipers)

some love sex so much
some love power

so we all have some kind of lord and gods, they ,may have different names and symbols , but the concept is one and same one

Incorrect. There are ideas and virtues I hold in the highest esteem, but I attempt to model them. I do not worship them, attempt to appease them, or lay blame or credit at their feet.

I don't think so. I do not worship any kind of supernatural being. This is a requirement of worshipping a god. Some may be greedy, this may be true. This is a character flaw. They do not 'worship' money. They do not pray to money, ask money for favors, ask money for forgiveness, think of money as a creator, etc.

Saying we all worship something is merely an attempt to put everyone on an even playing field intellectually and metaphysically, when obviously this is not the case.

Why do atheists always get the bad rap of loving money and/or power? Plenty of us are poor little granolas who neither have, nor really want either of these things.

I was saddened to hear this news this morning--but I agree. God should be held to the same standard as anyone else--if you thank him for the good, he should be blamed for the bad.
