Post Reconverted!

http://www.angelfire.com/ca5/atheistgal/ <--- Wow it seems that there really are atheists who reconvert to theism! I've never actually thought that one could exist. Of course, this might be a ruse by those liars for christ-type xians. Who knows?

This line makes me want to puke;

Well, on September 11, 2001, we all found out - whether we wanted to or not - that the "hands that helped" belonged to the same bodies as the "lips that prayed". I am, of course, speaking about the firemen.
She doesn't have a fucking clue how many of them were Christians as opposed to atheists and other non-Christians. Also, judging from the "testimony" it appears she was always of the opinion that atheist=bad, Christian=good. I'd wager that she was just an apatheist who never previously gave a shit either way. I don't feel like reviewing the rest since this one's statements made me sick but I'll probably look at the others later.

Gee, I suppose there really is no chance that she honestly reconverted. Must not have been a True Atheist(TM).

I wonder if she reconverted to believe in Santa again? Same thing. God is Santa for adults.

edited to change deconverted to reconverted since I've never heard of such a thing. Seems about as likely as Koy and I becoming Baptist Sunday school teachers.

Well, hello there! Nice to see someone is finally noticing my newly revamped web site. I can use the hits!

And nice to see so many open-minded people, willing to consider different ideas and ways of living. Always inspirational.

Thanks for the kindness!

Love,
Theist Gal (formerly Agnostic Gal, and prior to that, Atheist Gal - sensing a trend here?)

Even if religious people are braver than non-religious people, I don't see how this is an argument for the existence of God. It seems like a non-sequitur to me...

I'm surprised that you didn't become Muslim Gal since the terrorists prayed to Allah, took action and succeeded in their goal despite the prayers of Catholics to their god.

I see you claim Martin Gardner's book "Whys Of A Philosophical Scrivener" as an inspiration on your way back to the RCC. I'm surprised since Gardner criticizes organized religion in his book. Did you ignore these insightful criticisms?

Dear Sidewinder,

Glad to see someone is acting on my reading recommendations!

If you did read Mr. Gardner's book, you'll know that although, yes, he does criticize organized religions, he also praises Mortimer Adler for following his conscience and convictions and entering the Roman Catholic Church.

Love,
Theist Gal :-)

So, let me get this straight. You "reconverted" back to what you had been indoctrinated in before?

And that means you were ever an atheist at some point in your life, how?

Fashion?
