Default Random annoyances about the Ark story...

Was bored earlier today so I started reading through the Skepticks Annotated Bible... anyway, I found SEVERAL things very strange (why do we have clean animals if they were all sacrificed? was the flood 40 days or 7 months?) but this one really bugged me.

Reason God flooded the Earth:

Quote:
6:5
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Reason he won't ever flood the Earth again:

Quote:
8:21
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth ; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually

for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth.

Whats the difference between those phrases? "Evil continually", "evil from his youth"?

It rained for 40 days, Noah was on the Ark for about 7 months before the flood receded.

Not sure about the evil from his youth, although I'm guessing it has to do with original sin. I'll try to find out.

Try 40 weeks (=280 days) in 'fruit-water'.

The thing, in which Moses was given to water is called a ‘basket ‘ (Hebrew: tebah {tay-baw'} what means vessel) It symbolizied a (dark) female womb for a time of a soul and two different sex is given, is waiting to be born.

In the story of Noah the thing , that was filled with two parts of sexuality in an environment of water for a defined time is also named tebah ! . Out of this (dark) enclave on the first day of the tenth month (Gen 8:5) something was seen outside. As Hebrews month are month from a lunar calendar, each moon month has a length of 29.53 days, with a length of total 266.77 days for nine month and one day(of the tenth month). Today’s length of a pregnancy in middle is AFAIK discussed with 266 days.

The story of Noah is taken direct from the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh (~2500 B.C.E), in that the very same spiritual theme is dramatized.
