Default City Centre taken over by fundies

I was walking through Dundee City Centre today and the council have loads of advertising boards and areas normally used by local bands etc. About 90% were taken over by some Christ Awareness group.

Dundee 4 (sic) Christ

The posters are here, but also a handy defintion of a True Christian!

This is the first time Ive ever noticed a major religious drive here, the only other real activity is the Gate who's main activity is trying to get all the young rock kids ensnared by funding a local skatepark.

This obviously isn't a major thing affecting me I just had to vent somewhere and Im more worried theyre gonna up their witnessing action, its enough fending off the people who follow the Gate who try and witness at you at pubs, clubs, gigs etc without it getting any worse. I may just have to resort to some t-shirts from evolvefish/tshirthell/shocktees or something.

"LORD save me from your followers" for example

Those posters remind me of some billboards that appeard in the US last year, but these are a little more clever. There's obviously some advertising and marketing money behind this. In fact, the whole thing is very American.

If I ever have enough money, I'm going to get a parody billboard up like that, right after Christmas, and dedicate it to Janus, Roman god of transitions and changes, for whom January is named.

ALL the advert boards??
Are they going to have some big public crusade, like Billy Graham, etc.

Well theres a closed down shop in city centre that used to be a huge department store. There are loads of advertising boards about A1 size teh council rent out while the shop is empty. Similar in other areas of city centre and they have most of them. On Monday there was also a caravan parked farther along main street covered in "Jesus Christ Superstar" (the stage show?) plastered all over it and the music playing loudly. With added fundy accompanying screaming out lines. Shudder I did.

Also my dads name is Billy Graham. Hes no fundy though hes not been to church since dragged as a kid (from small rural village, its the way there). Just gives me a smile whenever I see rants at that fundy Billy Graham and then think of my dad hehe.
