Try voting a few times--you'll find that the "number of responses" goes up about 10-15 votes every three seconds (no exaggeration). A whole bunch of fundies are sitting their voting and voting and voting all day...as though it actually mattered what the outcome of this poll is.

Way back on the big day I recall that CNN had two basically identical polls. One was on the main page and showed results like this one.

The other was on the business/financial page and was more like 60/40. Not a majority but 40% agreeing with the 9th was very interesting.

You're right. It is down to 9.85% "yes" now.

Exclamation

I have been spreading the word about this poll and article as well. If you would like to do so also please copy and paste the remainder of my email.

Please pass this on to as many non-believers as you can.

Also an interesting yet depressing article on DOJ and Ashcroft trying
to keep pledge "as is".

USA Today is taking a vote on whether the words "Under God" should
be removed from the pledge of allegiance. You can vote by going to the
following website.

<a href="http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2002/06/27/pledge-hold.htm" target="_blank">http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2002/06/27/pledge-hold.htm</a>

don't get made...get writing to your elected officials...let them
know your opinion on this AND that you VOTE!
go to:
<a href="http://capwiz.com/au/home/" target="_blank">http://capwiz.com/au/home/</a>

Once there you can easily email your Reps get ideas and have media
contact addresses too. At least email but the BEST is to send
handwritten Fax or handwritten letter as the more effort a contact
takes with elected official the higher tally mark it is given
statistically by the staffers.

For instance, a handwritten letter that was mailed takes the most
effort and will be given the tally weight of for example 400-500
people that felt the same way but weren't willing to take the time to
write. An email, since takes such little effort might only get the
tally of 5 or 10 people that feel the same way for example.

But at least do SOME method. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

HELP!

Also try to attend the Godless March on Washington DC

While we might like to think that there are fundies wasting their time, it's probably one or two with automated scripts posting to it repeatedly.

Yes is down to 9.78% now.

Interesting and more likely to be representative. I noticed that the "Quick Question" electronic "poll" has no disclaimer, as I've seen in other newspapers, saying that this is not a scientific poll of opinion.
Actually, all one can infer from the results of this is that most people reading the article on line, who disagree with the 9th's decision, took the time to enter their vote.
Numbers so high they approach 100% bring validity into question. No?
