Exclamation The worst of the bible

Although it may not seem as cruel or shoddy as the passages on womens rights (or lack thereof), I find the passage explaining the reasons to get married the most troubling. Here are the 3 reasons noted:
1) To avoid sin
2) For procreation
3) Mutual societal benefit

Of course, there are no mentions of love, or love, or even love for that matter. This is a troubling passage that is telling people to get married so that they may have sex without being sinful, to get married so that they may have kids and to get married for the continuity of society. Which really means that casual sex is sinful, choosing not to have kids is sinful, and the extension of the society is more important than one's own happiness. No wonder divorce was so high.
