Default Can a Rich Man Enter The Kingdom of God?

Jesus says in the bible that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god.

This raises 3 questions for me.

If a guy's only crime is to be in posession of a few wads, and yet he is still victimised in this way, what chance do the rest of us have?

If the christian answer to the "eye of the needle" problem is that "anything is possible with god," what was the point in Jesus saying it in the first place?

What is this kingdom of god thing?

It's a parable and a lesson to not indulge in worldly pleasures and seek riches of this earth, and/or do not put that pursuit before God, besides you can't take them with you.

It's about greed.

Do you want a generic answer?

The Kingdom of God is heaven.

Well, really, Badfish. I thought you knew the bible better than that! It's not a parable at all. That's why I asked the question in the first place.

Ok, so why didn't he just say "heaven?"

The Kingdom of God is heaven.

I don't think that's theologically correct, or at least not exactly, or not always in scriptural usage.

For example, is heaven within the believer? Christ declares that "the kingdom of God is within you."

Some believe it is a parable, and even if not it seems to be told as a parable to demonstrate how riches didn't do anything for this guys salvation. If it was real, then it's an example, the message amounts to the same thing.

The Kingdom of God is heaven, and he dwells inside you, it is all encompassing, but The actual Kingdom will be physical, IMO, just like when Christ comes to reign on earth when he returns.
