Post Culture and Madness?

Came across this interview at darwin....what do you guys think about it? Does culture and the way a society operates have such an effect?

Since no one else bothered to reply:
I only read to where they started talking about COmmonSense Rebellion.
I'd say first of all, their proof things are going to hell is the increased number of people on medication. I think the main reason for the increased number of people on medication has to do with how they're pushing all these new medications. Also I wonder if "depressed" people were quite as likely to go see a doctor in the old days. So seeing as I'm pretty sure they're mostly wrong to begin with, I didn't read further.
