He's after evolution now. The last two weeks his show airing on fox at 7AM on Sunday has been an hour long info-mercial against evilutionists and their plot. He spends the entire time setting up the worst strawmen imaginable and knocking them down while recieving a standing ovation from his congregation. Stawmen include the ever popular link between evolution and school violence. He also seems to love the Discovery Institute. He ends his program by asking you to accept Jesus in your heart since evolution is false and Jesus the only sure way to heaven.

I warn you though, it is pure torture to listen to some asshole speak authoritatively on a subject of which he is ignorant without a challenge while the camera pans to the head knodding agreeing audience. The shots of his sheep audience should be sufficient to enrage you as his maddening smug attitude is uncontested and you're limited to yelling at the screen.

You are absolutely correct, that is painful to watch. Its funny how creationist videos seem to never provide concrete evidence for any of their absurd claims.

I searched Kennedy's website for talks with the keyword "evolution." there were a dozen or so. Same ol' bull shit, Darwwinians are racists, Darwinians are liars, Darwinians are evil blah blah blah. Lots of DI people, but also Ken Ham, and our favorite hate feak, Sarfati.

Yeah, he's got three major themes that he preaches on. He just happens to be on an anti-evolution kick at the moment and I have the unfortunate habit of channel flipping at 7:30 on Sunday morning when I get in from my morning kayak paddle. I see him every Sunday on fox. All of his sermons are political in nature with reconstructionism being the common thread for all. He'll go in blocks of anti-abortion, Christian government establishment, and evolution. Of course when he preaches on evolution, it gets the blame for rampant abortion because evolutionists devalue human life so much.

The thing that bothers me most about him and his kind are the people that sit back and blankly absorb everything he says as truth. Even when I was a believer I had trouble simply accepting the preacher's authority on theological matters even if he'd been to seminary. How can his followers accept his authority on scientific matters? I never would, nor do I recall ever having a priest make any claims within the scientific realm; though my young departure from the Baptist church probably saved me that torment. It's simply maddening that he has a forum in which to spout invalid claims with regard to various scientific and political matters without challenge and in which most of his listeners and viewers will accept his word and then send him their $$$money$$$ for his damned crusade. I wish I could watch his program and laugh the way I do Benny Hinn or Ernest Angelly.

I've heard Kennedy call Behe's Darwin's Black Box one of the most important scientific works ever written.

Here's my prediction: 20 years from now, The Origin of Species will still be read and appreciated, and printed on recycled paper from unsold copies of Darwin's Black Box.
