Ok, these people are making me sick with their hatred spewing biogotry. That talk a bunch a crap righteously while being cutesy with their pretty, sparkly signatures.

Gay Parents Post #1 of 16

http://www.parenting.com/parenting/...s%2C+one+family

There is an article in the August 2003 Parenting magazine about 2 women (lesbians) raising two girls. Each woman conceived through artificial insemination at different times.

Some disturbing facts are thrown in as well.

"500,000. The number of kids in the US who are living in same-sex households"

"More recently, gay parents in Tennessee have tested existing laws and successfully made arrangements for joint custody of their children"

Summer camp project: "The counselors didn't know what to do on Father's Day, so they came up with 'Happy Families Day' and let her do a project."

and:

"I think that gay parenting is much better than parenting from straight people who beat, abuse, and/or neglect their kids."

what's your point?... that the beating of children calls for sodomite households?...

works both ways...
"I think that normal heterosexual parenting is much better than parenting from sodomites who beat, abuse, and/or neglect their kids."

see, the statement means nothing....

nothing justifies the beating, abuse, and/or neglect of kids,... and in turn such abuse justifies nothing, not sodomite households, nothing,...
prosecution is the response to such treatment of children, not sodomite households...
the words in the quotation marks are mine. It is continual. I truly think these people are in their plastic little religious bubble and don't give a damn about the kids. If you are registered there, please post a reply to those bigots.

Or if you're not registered, I'd appreciate some help as to what to say.

Ask for proof. Numbers, statistics, facts, and so on. Make them prove that being raised by gay parents is somehow "wrong" and "hurtful" to the child. And make sure they get their infomation from credible sources. I highly doubt they'll be able to prove their point in any way, shape or form.

I also found this comment by bobbie to be interesting: ""Gay parenting"....just another example of exactly how selfish those people are. THEY WANT what THEY WANT period and it doesn't seem to matter to them who is hurt in the process."

Funny. Last time I checked, equal rights was not in any way selfish. These people need help, and fast.

"I think that gay parenting is much better than parenting from straight people who beat, abuse, and/or neglect their kids."

That's true, but I think the other side has a point here - abusing children is wrong in any case, and this is a rather weak argument for gay parenting, IMO.

But I might respond that "nothing justifies labeling a group of people as sodomites, either, and your bible justified the stoning to death of homosexuals and rebellious children."

We know it is just as abusive for a child to be raised being told right is wrong and wrong is right as it is for them to be raised in a home that is physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually abused.
I'm wondering where they stop this.

Should muslims be allowed to raise children?

What about liberals? Is teaching the wrong political views as right just as abusive?

Ridiculous. And incredibly sad.

I'd love to help you out blondgoddess, but I never seem to be able to do much more than shake my head in amazement at these type of beliefs.

Then why should those who do not believe in your bible be forced to lived under your predudice? Also, are there stats to actually show that gay adoption is harmful, say, more harmful than the foster care system? I doubt that you would be able to find them. Also, I will posit that the problems that children may face from gay adoption (basically social) would not be there if there weren't such hatefulness and bigotry directed at gays.

The bible still condones slavery...does that mean that I can morally own a slave? Oh, my husband could rape her and get away with it, but she would be punished. Straight out of the bible.
How was this? I am not good at debates...I'll probably get a mod's notice soon from them...
