there is no need to be arrogant and self-righteous. and just because people have an opinion other than your own does not mean you should make shallow generalizations about anyone. all you are doing is showing how little you know of people on this side of the planet.

Thumbs down

Your proposition offends me, and I'm in the same country you're in!

Man, that's straight out of the OT. You're proposition is so very Christian that any atheist should oppose it because we don't want to stoop to their level.

sorry, scombrid -- I can't leave the comment here either. -- Jewel

even most christians don't stoop down to that level. the christians trying to rule the world thing, is a bit of a stereotype. most are just as lazy as any other group of people, content with watching more television than is necessary. but of course they have the best dumb lobbyist groups.

Very true. Frankly, most Americans are relatively on the same wavelength, and so rational debate is the most effective method for (or even against) secularisation (christ, many if not most religious Americans prefer a level of secularisation).

Cool beans. I was a bit harsh in my reply anyway. It doesn't really apply to modern Christianity...well most of it.

In retrospect, I did go overboard. I supposed Iwas just pissed that I'm an intern in my uncle's store in the province. Seeing all those zombies stop everything (I mean cashiers shutting off the register, shoppers stopping mid-sentence) at 3 PM to pray No decent bars. No nightlife (thank you activist nuns). Secular Pinoy, have you forgotten how far behind are country is? Only primitive fanaticism could spawn cults that turn in to majorities like El Shaddai (ever gone to Luneta on a saturday?) or the World Christian Harvest (what are we soylent green?). Then those arrogant yankee preachers come. The "mo(m)rons" with their basketball court conversioon sites and the "spaceship" churches of the Iglesia. Animals can't be talked to ( I try). Out of frustration, all "compassion" goes out the window and I want to train them like animals (haven't tried yet, though drugs and alcohol work well when convincing my immature peers. "what sort of god would bring eternal damnation for but a puff of the herb?, while there be priests bangin' children", it actually works on a few.) The venting out on the west, that was sort of some grudge I held against america for the years of sufffering (but that's in the past, I'd have to prove uncle sam is still up to no good) Sorry if I insulted any non-republicans. (If you people are so apathetic/liberal, you don't put in office a redneck you can't pronounce "iraq" and put in as opposition for vice, a rabbi who wants "videogames which have no story or idea behind them whatsoever" removed (he meant that video games convey no ideas or story. and were in the same class as monopoly or something, except more senseless. big deal, right? but given enough rope, he'd hang "immoral" media (the general term).)
Ok violence doesn't work all the time, but it does half the time or so. In short, I'm impulsive and don't think before I write.

note: there were a few typos. [Mo(m)rons] the said word was supposed to be [Mor(m)ons]. And the damn the jehovans, they ruin my movie watching

Default I'm just not "pro-life"

I've lost faith in most of my fellow apes, and out of frustration went a little bit to the far-right of the secular spectrum. Extremism is bad in all forms. I don't believe that whole-heartedly, most of us are, but never voice them out for fear of being seen as extremist and therefore "bad". But the real conflict is simply some of us value life, some of us don't, some us are pacifist while others fire Aks for fun and form little groups of angry little atheists (who can't get along with the mainstream for obvious reasons) who want to round up some christians and "have a shoot". That's the gulf. Much like the gulf between theists and non-theist. Back me up on this paolo, will ya?

azazel is quite a close friend of mine and I find that I agree with a lot of what he says. Democracy in this country does not work. Why doesn't somebody research some bloody current events to check out how the lord jesus christ and his advocate cardinal Sin (yes that's his name) appointed the current president during a revolt (EDSAII). They make a constitution that everyone ELSE has to follow. It's bullshit. The power is in all the wrong hands. I would advocate the greek idea of a philosopher dictator. Oh, and one more thing, the church ALREADy rules the world down here. So i know that all you free love and everything else people couldn't possibly understand how the church manipulates EVERYTHING around here. They've done it for 300+ years and counting. And what? we stand around in the name of freedom of religion when we don't have any? . I'm not saying make them deny their God who "exists" ahem, I'm saying that we DON"T HAVE THE RIGHTS THAT YOU IN OTHER COUNTRIES DO. And nobody is going to stand up for them. I am not pro massacring everyone, i just want something, ANYTHING to be done for fuck's sake.
DO SOME RESEARCH ON THE PHILIPPINES AND YOU"LL GET WHAT I MEAN. Azazel and i are frustrated about how we are shit on by everyone else because we don't want to eat their god. Instead of that, they have the advocates of their goddamn gods ( pardon the pun, it amuses me) eating us. NO rights, no say, we have to do it their way. ANd do YOU think it's fun? HUH? IT"S not just our parents, it's the whole goddamn country! Everyone's already brainwashed and we stand idly by!! This just gets me so angry.
But please try to understand, enough is enough. I shouldn't have a gun, what i SHOULD have are my rights, and I am lacking those.
AND YES THE ENDS DO JUSTIFY THE MEANS!
Because the end of this endeavor would be equal treatment of all and the RESPECT that I as a HUMAN BEING deserve. And by any and all means, i think this is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
