Thumbs up Is GOD real?

GOD is real! He is everywhere! I urge you to believe me, friend! I have an argument that supports this. Look at the wind. Can you see the wind? No, nobody can! It's the same thing with GOD! You can't see GOD, but HE is there! You may say, you can see the effect of wind, though. Well, you can also see the effect of GOD on a person. When a drunk gets saved, he doesn't want to see another thing of beer. When a prostitute gets saved, she doesn't stand on the streets anymore for money. She goes to get a job, and joins a church. I could go on and on! If Osama Bin Laden got saved, you would definitely see the effect of GOD on HIM. Same with any person. But I'm getting off subject now. Now many atheists have said to me, "Well you can measure the wind! Can you measure GOD?" My answer to this is simple. No you can't measure GOD because HE is everywhere! You could not find a ruler or measure stick big enough to measure GOD! Now you might say, "Well that still doesn't answer the question!" Yes it does! Anyways, I don't think that you would want to measure GOD because you would be desintegrated by HIS beauty and HIS shining love! I know that this won't prove that GOD exists to many of you, but I would like to see what you have to say to this argument.

You've got to be kidding. Does this even qualify as an arguement?

You can pass wind, which might have been more persuasive than your argument.

Of course you can see the wind. Take a sample, cool it down enough and it turns liquid. Bingo!

Pure unsubstantiated anecdotes. Oh, and I can think of at least one Christian cult that encouraged prositution.

Prove it.

No, it doesn't. It's simply one thoroughly indoctrinated cult member repeating what another thoroughly indoctrinated cult member told him. It's designed to make you feel better about your religion, not convince those outside it.

According to your scriptures, Abraham met your god face to face and wasn't disintegrated. Besides, if your bible is half-way accurate, it doesn't describe his beauty or his love any more than Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho describes the actions of a benevolent philanthopist.

Totally unconvincing, no evidence presented, and an argument designed to preach to the choir. You and your fellows find it convincing, but atheists like myself do not.

Bobby:

Do you really consider this an argument? Do you honestly believe that none of us have been theists? That we haven't looked deeply and seriously into this issue? If you're really looking to convert people here, you're going to have to use your brain instead of just spewing mindless garbage designed to assure believers and maybe young children.

Jeremy, I am not in a cult. I am a born again, bible-believing Christian! That is not a cult! To all of you, I can say on judgment day that I told you that GOD was real, but you just mocked me. You will see that GOD is real when you see HIM as your judge. It will be too late for you to accept HIM then, so I urge you to please accept HIM now! He is real! He loves you and wants you to accept HIM, so please do before it is too late! I do not have good evidence to give to you, but my faith. If you check out some other Christian sites, they will give you pages and pages of evidence. Please give this message some thought!

I have no idea whether this is serious or not, but it obviously is more appropriate in Rants, Raves, and Preaching.
