"A Slapp suit, which stands for strategic litigation against public participation, is an easy and often relatively inexpensive device available for shutting up members of the public who voice opposition to a proposed project."

In this case, it appears that the "Godly" Rev. Falwell's attorneys are going to attempt to financial bleed this fellow into silence. (Maybe the Clintons will send the fellow some funds.)

Have you ever observed Falwell to have learned ANYTHING?

Wow, the good ole Rev. Falwell sure is using the poor hard-working Christian's money in a wonderful and noble way!

"Please, give me money so I can give it to attorneys for stupid lawsuits, and the Good Lord will let you into heaven!! What was that, use it to feed the poor, or cure disease? Nah, I have my reputation to save!

What an ass.

I still have difficulty seeing how someone can parody Falwell. A parody of a parody?

cheers,
Michael

Thumbs up

Ah, I do love it so! This passage from the wire service article was particularly amusing:

Quote:
"God has lifted his veil of protection over Jerry Falwell ministries," Cohn [owner of the website] said of the decision, making light of comments Falwell made after Sept. 11 that the terrorist attacks were the result of God lifting his protection from Americans because of their immoral behavior.
