One thing that does appear to be of import in these scientific endeavors, is the role that genetics does, or does not play in both physical, and psychological formation of the individual.
The kitten does not, and will not resemble the original cat in any more than a superficial way physically.
The kitten will not develope in the same way emotionally either.
So is "cloning" possible, at least in the way that we currently view the end product?
One would think not.

You're right Krieger, that lil bugger possesses maximum cuteness!

Sadly though, I wonder how many of these cute critters will be thrown out and abandoned when the owners realize that the clone does not possess their beloved pet's disposition?

Ugh..I don't even want to think about it.

Good Goryevitch! there're millions too-many of cats already! having to be euthanized or cluttering up the landscape. The POPE shd get hisself cloned; lay in a stock of zygote-clones; doing this wd insure his everlasting POWER, individual power, over humankind;... the difficulty might accrue when someone pulled the plug on the freezer. Apart from that, 1. all kittens are cute; 2. the trouble w/ kittens is , they grow up to be cats {Cardinal Richlieu's percept, I believe}; 3. For chrisesake, you figure the asshole stuff some fools are willing to waste their money on? Eugckhhh. What times the next major meteor?
