Talking Talk.origins feedback

You just gotta love some of the recent talk.origins archive feedback. They're a total hoot!

Quote:
I believe in creation because i think all the scientist lie and are abunch of hoaxs. Not only do i believe it because of the scientists but because of the Bible. It shows you all the real evidence for creation in it. Evolution is a story, made by satan,to blind people from God. And those who believe it are plain STUPID. And here is my question for the coward who answers these questions.
Question: How did we evolve from apes if there are still TONS of them on Earth?? --oh yah and i know all the real evidence for creation and they don't lie...YOU do! And if i get on here and this question isn't answered....i know that you don't know the question and know you can't answer it ya little sissy.

But you know when I gave birth to both of my children they did not come out as little apes they where human just like I am and have always been. Yes I do believe that we slowly change in some ways, but that is not by evolution, that is by mixing our jeans, such as a white person with a black person and so on. And the same goes for animals they also mix breed and their colors, size and shapes change. It has to do with mixing the jeans and not evolution.
Hmm, so they won't reproduce if one wore Levis and the other a Wranglers?

You people are full of crap and you probably will not post this message because it might hurt your feelings. How do you explain creationism? ~It's called faith! Plus there is so much evidence behind it thats there is definetly more proof of creationism than evolution. I have videotapes of scientific points on creationism for those of you who think seeing is beleiving. I have faith I don't need scientific evidence to prove creationism because I know there is a higher being and that is God~ the creator of the universe and everything inside and outside of it.
Darn! If we'd just get our heads out of those pesky peer reviewed scientific journals and get some unbiased proof by watching some of those gloriously factual creationist videotapes, then we'd see the light!!

it's people like this who convince me there's no god, or he just doesn't care/is powerless

reasoning?

if I were him, it'd be a cold day in hell before I'd want THOSE people believing in me and supporting me.

Some (especially the first) do more harm than good.

Maybe it's a troll. Not even kent Hovind would refer to "jeans" in that way. Still, it's difficult to tell sometimes.

And this is what the fundamentalist churches are encouraging. Ignorance, intolerance, and a ready willingness to believe that people who disagree with them are completely without morals or ethics and are engaged in a conspiracy with them as the poor victims. All brought to you courtesy of your friendly local down-home love-thy-neighbour brigade.

And you're only seeing a small fraction of the submitted feedback -- only the ones that get replies from reviewers get posted to the feedback page. Those of us with the "privilege" of reviewing get to see all kinds of rants and one-line obscenities and complaints and posts that get repeated a dozen times because the bozo wants to make sure we see it (or is just clueless, and hits the button a bunch of times).

The feedback section is one of my favorite talk.origins features. Hilarious.

Cheers,

Maybe you could post em here. Entertaining if nothing else.

BTW, I notice Hovind hasn't come up in recent feedback. Is this because you're no longer bothering to respond or because you don't get such feedback anymore?

I'm guessing the former.

They aren't my messages to post, and no, they're not very entertaining. They get old fast. There have been a few months where I haven't even had the heart to read the thing.

Hovind comes up quite often, like every month. There was something about him just the other day, actually, and there are a couple of replies that will appear when the July page gets posted. It's hard to come up with new versions of "He's a tax-evading fraud with a phony challenge", I'm afraid, so don't expect anything exciting.

Well, there's a new Hovind FAQ so maybe you could just use that.
