The OBVIOUS answer is that god is testing us.

Whoever figures out what to do with salt water, the void, and Martha Stewart wins. Everybody else goes to hell.

But wait a sec. That would be a waste.

So the real question is what to do with salt water, the void, Martha Stewart, and everybody else?

Drifting continents would seem to negate the idea of direct design influence, wouldn't it??

You are only human, you could never understand God's purposes. All this will be explained in heaven.

DS: This line of reasoning fascinates me. Do you mean that God's purposes are beyond the scope of Man to understand? If so, can you tell me if you know the purpose of sending Jesus Christ to earth? I'll bet you think you can.

And I'll bet you'll agree that God has had other benign purposes as well.

Why is it that when something good happens it can be attributed to God's benign purpose, but when something bad happens, suddenly we cannot know God's purpose?

Hurl Martha Stewart into the void, then go deep-sea fishing on all that salt water.
Do I win?
