My @mail is quite symbolic, how do we proceed for you to get it, should I tell the mods I agree, I am too lazy to read their rules/functioning. The BBC thread seems to be collapsing, on top of that they had a two days breakdown, wonder what it was ?
I have not yet felt the participants here, does not seem to have the same quality/variety but seems active.
Even if I was moded a few hundred times there, I like the crowd, I had to sit heavily on my ego after two quarantines, it happens in business all the time, but I normally get paid for it.
Hasta la vista.
Dolbac, just hit profile and get my email off of it. When you email me I will have your email. No point in wasting exchanges at this pop stand. Not with GunnerJ imperiously excercisiing his arbitrary authority. he thinks I am a racist and edited my post. Intolerant farts around here, like posting on a fascist forum. One big fat ugly granfalloon.

I didn't agree to follow any rules, I just started posting here. Everything else is your ball game. You don't like what I post, how I think, do what ever you feel like. But don't EVER think I am subject to your arbitrary guidelines. That's your cross to bear.

Sorry Jimmy, but everyone gives their agreement to follow our posting rules when they're registering. You may not have noticed at the time, but you are definitely held to them now as a condition of your continued membership. If you don't like that, friggin tough.

Here they are in full.

This is what I am talking about, DD. This obsession with rules and control. You can dictate what you will. I will act like I want to. And if this board must punish me for not respecting their arbitrary guidelines, then so be it. They can do whatever they like. I gave no agreement to anything. They only think I did. And they are wrong.

There were some words some folks anally and arbitrarily decided I MUST follow if I post here, but it was their decision, not mine. I have my own world, and my own way, and my own culture, and my own rules. You guys can have yours, and where and when you wish to impose them on people don't want to think like you, go right ahead. We will keep thinking the way we want to.

As a Lakota breed I have been forced my whole life to follow the rules of the dominant culture, but I never forgot my own rules, and so I follow their rules where I must, so I have food to eat, and a roof over my head, and they don't toss me in one of their prisons...but I never respected or acknowledged their power over me. And if you don't like that, DD, friggin tough.

So when you clicked the button that says "I agree" underneath that big list of rules, you were, in fact, lying. How very honourable of you.

When 'not wanting to think like us' includes slinging obnoxious racist slurs at people you've hardly met, I'll thank you to take your thinking to someplace where the rest of us can't smell it.

Touching.

Look, we aren't asking for much here. All we need is for you to refrain from insults and racial degradation. Do you really think that's too much for a discussion board to ask?

Bye then.

Jimmy, have you actually read the ‘rules’? Only 1-5 are really relevant... here’s a simplified translation:

(1) Don’t try to sell us stuff.

(2) Don’t deliberately offend folks. “As with anything, you will use good common sense. In other words, you agree not to be a jerk.”

(3) Respect others’ privacy.

(4) Don’t post obscene stuff.

(5) Don’t violate copyright.

These sound to me like basic politeness....?

Erm, yes you did. When you started posting, you ‘signed up’ to these rules, in the same way that when you put stuff through a supermarket checkout, you’re agreeing to buy it, not steal it. Sorry if ‘not being a jerk’ is a bit restrictive, but it’s how most people prefer to interact .

How are these rules anal or arbitrary? I see that you have a ‘problem’ with authority... but do you have a problem with normal social propriety too? What, exactly is anal about these? How are these things limiting your freedoms (other than ‘freedom to be an arsehole if I choose’)?

So the rules governing, say, theft from a shop, are anal and arbitrary too? You didn’t agree not to steal anything when you went in, so they can stuff their rules, you’ll steal if you want to?

Are you quite sure you don’t have a bit of a chip on that Lakota shoulder of yours? Honestly?

You are -- we all are -- guests here. The rules governing ‘guests’ may be written or unwritten, they may vary from culture to culture. But -- especially if there are written rules against it -- it isn’t normally polite to piss on the furniture.

Nobody is compelling you to be here. But if you insist on crapping on the couch when you’ve been asked not to, the host may not ask you back, yeah?

And if you don't like that, well, friggin tough.

I fully invite this thread to get back onto whatever topic it had, and off the rather sad ranting of this really amazing rebel without a cause.

Why should I refrain from insults when you don't? And don't flatter me by telling me my little posts prompted this heavy-handed attitude from you. You were perfectly capable of displaying it before I came along. More than that, you're a moderator that posts insults and posts things like "friggin tough" but want me to have manners and respect YOUR rules? All I'm asking is you refrain from this activity. Do you think that's too much for a discussion board moderator to honor?

PS I don't respect your culture or your rules. I folllow them purely on a utility basis. It's clear if I had a thousand years to explain my cultural perspective you'd never catch on, because you don't want to. You will read the worst into everything I post and ignore any remarks that have merit. You will post things like "I haven't noticed merit in any of your remarks" or some predictable cut-rate insult like that.

But more than all this, why play this insult exchange? I'm going to end up getting the better of you, and you'll reach for your moderator club as an equalizer and threaten me with the "rules" and what have you, so what's the point? If you want to punish me per board guidelines, do it, but spare me the pedestrian explanations and justifications. That shit is for your world, not mine. Just do what you have to do, there's nothing more you can post to inform me any better, I've fleshed out your message board personality already, thank you. T'wern't hard, she wasn't complicated.

To my memory, DD has not made any racist comments or insults. You have. Really, no one's that impressed with your drama-queen, "I'm such a pretty soldier-sailor rebel" speeches, or how you go on about your cultural awareness and how we're all blinded by being American or whatever popular counter-culture primma-donna notion it is today. Just don't make any more racist comments and we'll be cool.
