Post Learn to spell

It's "existence," not "existance." This word is consistently misspelled by people wanting to tell me their sure God doesn't exist.
While I'm at it, the word is "definitely," not "definately."

Theo, it's "...they're sure God doesn't exist."

While I do hold a utilitarian view of language (not in the formal sense), I would recommend you get your spelling right when posting here or debating philosophic issues. I don’t care if you misspell existence but some foolish, foolish person may, and he will think you the fool. I recommend putting all your posts into Word and spell checking them before posting (or emailing for that matter).

To a rational person spelling doesn’t matter, as long as you get you idea across. But you are not always talking to rational people.

So are you trying to say that you care what foolish people think of you?

Dear Fellow Christian Theo,
You assert:

I beg to differ. When it comes to these cross-dressing atheists, the correct spelling is "defiantly!" You see, their transposition of "a_n." is an unsuccessful attempt to hide their Freudian slip.

Their subconscious is convicting them of being the reprobate rebels they truly are. -- Cheers, Dr. Clear as Mud Cipriani Persona on Loan from His Alter Ego Albert the Traditional Catholic

<cornpone smartass pseudo-catechumen runs to front of class, dances around catechist's desk while dodging swinging yard-stick> "What about all of us closet pantheists, huh?? Huh??"

Please Albert, do not encourage theo, lest he hijack yet another thread with Reformed/Calvinist rhetoric!!

That raises an interesting question. Can one hijack one's own thread?
