Default Serial killers

( Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy or Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer to name a few ) Ask if their behavior was in anyway a mirror/response to the deceit and hypocrisy they were shown in their life?

Hello OBKB... since you placed your OP in religious discussions, are you trying to make a connection between their condition and the deceit and hypocrisy of religion? just wondering.

To answer your question, I had to reflect on how many people actualy qualify as serial killers... that is an individual who kills randomly for the thrill of taking other human lives. There seems to be no ideology driving that killing. Though they tend to target a particular group of people with similar details.
There is a mental condition which induces emotional detachment in some individuals. That dysfunctioning condition of the brain causes the person to not feel anything which triggers the absence of conscience.
I personaly think that most serial killers are mentaly dysfunctional and their condition is the result of some chemical unbalance of some sort.
There are many people who were submitted to far worse than deceit and hypocrisy in their childhood. However, they do not " take it out" on the rest of humanity.
I think there is a natural predisposition to be a serial killer not necessarly the result of a response to how society has treated that individual.

Default Sure did fry my onions

when realty behind Santa Claus/ Easter Bunny and the boogie men became known to me.

If intelligent beings accept the revelations that our sentient ancestors such as Robert Green Ingersolls' Morality is the melody of the perfection of conduct and Liberty is the blossom and fruit of justice then maybe our tenacity will be rewarded.

I doubt that we will ever not have serial killers. I consider that serial killers are not created by religion. I dont like religion much, but you make an assertion and offer no proof.

What percentage of serial killers were raised in religious households, and what percentage of serial killers are atheists who went mad when they deconverted?

I just dont think that there is a connection.

btw, welcome to the infidels.

Default I thought it was just a question

When I asked if serial killers were in some way reflecting their experiences.

Seems to be a pretty loaded question. I think that there is no proof that a connection exists at all.

Its like asking, is god a giant dipshit? The question itself borders on assertion.
